To receive access to the MMS Builder service and have an MMS allowance established (if the offered service is to be paid for), the subscriber sends an SMS to a service number. MMS Builder creates an account for the subscriber and establishes (or refills) an allowance, i.e., a specific number of MMS messages, that the subscriber can send. A password to the service is sent to the subscriber via SMS. The subscriber uses the received password to obtain authorization via the WEB interface and creates MMS messages using an editor that lets the user select a resource database and add text and multimedia resources (images, audio, and video) to the MMS. Multipage MMS messages with specified page display times are supported. Prior to sending an MMS to a recipient, it can first be reviewed just as the recipient will see it. All multimedia resources are stored in a resource database that can be supplemented. The subscriber can place his or her own resources in the database by uploading them from a PC. MMS messages that are ready to be sent are processed by a message producer, transmitted via MMSC or a mail server for delivery to the recipient, and saved in a personal message archive. If necessary, m.Builder can also be used by the subscriber to receive and read messages received from MMSC directly on the mobile terminal. The administrator's interface is used to manage and monitor operation of m.Builder, to review subscriber activity statistics, and to maintain resource databases and allowances. System statistics are collected and processed by the m.Stat application. System monitoring is performed by the m.Check application. |
